You

look

better

than

you

think.

You look better than you think.

You don’t need to know how to pose. In fact, I'd rather you didn't.

Most people arrive at their headshots session convinced they’re awkward in front of the camera. They're usually wrong.

My approach isn’t to force expressions, invent personalities or make you look like someone you’re not. It’s to create an environment where you can relax, stop overthinking, and be photographed naturally.

Most people don’t want another stiff, awkward, over-posed headshot destined to spend the next five years being ignored on Spotlight or LinkedIn. Neither do I.

Headshot sessions at Studio Nottingham are designed to provide you with quality images that feel natural, modern and unmistakably you.

About the studio

You can find us inside Oldknows Factory, a beautiful restored Victorian lace mill less than 10 minutes walk from the city centre.

The factory's industrial architecture, exposed brickwork and epic natural light provide the perfect backdrop for contemporary portrait photography, actor headshots and personal branding sessions.

About the photographer

By day, Arthur works at the RSC as Head of Marketing (West End) - and has overseen the global brands of some of the world’s most successful theatre productions, including Matilda The Musical and Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club. Before that, he spent four years making adverts for brands including Mercedes-Benz, Maltesers and Martini.

Having spent over a decade working with performers, creatives and public-facing brands, Arthur understands the difference between a photograph that simply looks good and one that genuinely represents the person behind it.

At the weekends and in the evenings, Arthur offers contemporary portraiture for actors, creatives and professionals. His sessions are relaxed, collaborative and built around a simple idea: the best photographs happen when people stop worrying about being photographed.
